Cincinnati Streets Initiatives

Since 2008, Vice Mayor Qualls has worked with neighborhoods across the city, including Westwood, Mt. Washington, Walnut Hills and Madisonville, to ensure that street projects support walkable, mixed-use development. 

Red Bank Corridor/Dunbar Parkway

Vice Mayor Qualls is working with Madisonville residents and businesses to make sure the Red Bank Expressway portion of the Eastern Corridor project is transformed into Dunbar Parkway – a corridor that fosters investment and jobs, and accommodates the needs of businesses, motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and the recreational needs of young families.


Taft-McMillan

In April 2010, Vice Mayor Qualls introduced a motion to help Walnut Hills revitalize its business district by returning two-way traffic to Taft and McMillan; read the CincyBizBlog post here. Read the administration report here, the Building Cincinnati post here, and the Soapbox post here.


Beechmont Avenue

In 2008, Vice Mayor Qualls introduced a motion at the request of the Mt. Washington Community Council to implement traffic calming measures on Beechmont Avenue.
