City Council approved a plan this week for multilingual signs downtown. The Enquirer hailed the plan, introduced by Vice Mayor Qualls nearly two years ago, in this editorial.

The 2010 Census points to trends that favor development in the city's urban core, and dense, walkable, mixed-use development. Immigration will help boost the city's population.

Historic Preservation in OTR

In February 2011, City Council adopted a series of changes to the municipal code based on the recommendations of a Historic Building Loss Task Force. Formed in 2009, the task force was charged with reviewing city policies and procedures that have resulted in the demolition of roughly half of Over-the-Rhine’s historic building stock.
